It is situated approximately 210 miles southeast of Los Angeles, 126 miles east of San Diego, and 30 miles north of Mexicali, Mexico. Brawley is a general law city incorporated in 1908 and has a Council Manager form of government. The 2007 population is estimated to be 25,694 as reported by the State Department of Finance.
